hullo there!

I'm Michelle

I’m a digital designer specializing in advertising based in New York.

I’ve always enjoyed creating, long before I knew design was a career. As a kid, that meant building a butterfly chrysalis out of a Sunny D bottle just to recreate what we were learning in class, or quickly drawing up an Easter egg design for a decorating contest the morning of (it slipped my mind, oops), and still garnering the most votes. I was also constantly drawing as a kid (fully convinced I’d grow up to be a Disney animator).

What’s stuck with me isn’t just the making — it’s the problem-solving behind it. When I first started learning design, I realized I was approaching it like a puzzle. How do the pieces fit? What makes something feel balanced? Why does one layout click and another fall apart? That mindset still drives me. I love refining systems and iterating until something feels cohesive. Recently, I’ve started reconnecting with drawing on my iPad — a reminder that at the core of it all, I just genuinely enjoy building things.

My career so far

I’m a multidisciplinary designer with a background in advertising and marketing, focused on building thoughtful systems and polished digital experiences.

At Business Insider, I helped launch new high-impact ad formats and contributed to repositioning our custom ad portfolio — work that directly supported revenue growth and expanded our creative capabilities. I’ve since designed and executed hundreds of campaigns across major brands. Alongside campaign execution, I also managed and mentored small design teams, providing creative direction, feedback, and support to ensure high-quality work across projects.

Beyond campaign work, I’m especially drawn to projects that require structure: refining brand systems, building internal documentation tools, designing proposal concepts, and creating templates that make future work smoother and more efficient.

Whether I’m designing a new ad format, a promotional campaign, or a site experience, I’m always thinking about clarity, usability, and how the pieces fit together.
